ANDREW FESENKO · COMPUTER ENGINEERING · UF '27

I build intelligent systems, from the circuit up.

Hardware, firmware, and the AI that runs on it. I bring up boards, write the firmware that drives them, and put intelligence on the device itself. Currently building prototype hardware at Motorola Solutions.

WHAT I DO

One person, both sides of the stack.

Hardware & bring-up

The bridge between design and production — board bring-up and debug, design-for-manufacturability feedback to design teams, and the fixtures and SMT programs that get real boards built and tested.

  • BOARD BRING-UP
  • DFM FEEDBACK
  • SMT / FUJI FLEXA
  • PTC CREO

Embedded firmware

C/C++ on ESP32-class parts, learned by building — sensor reads, motor control, PID loops, UART/GPIO plumbing between chips.

  • C / C++
  • ESP32
  • PID CONTROL

Digital design & FPGA

SystemVerilog and VHDL through Quartus, ModelSim, and Vitis — coursework-deep now, headed toward computer architecture and chip design.

  • SYSTEMVERILOG
  • VHDL
  • QUARTUS

AI & perception

Project-taught computer vision — YOLO pipelines, OpenCV, and the unglamorous work of getting models running against real camera feeds.

  • YOLO / OPENCV
  • PYTHON

Software systems

The stack around the hardware — TypeScript, Next.js, REST APIs, and dashboards that make embedded projects usable.

  • TYPESCRIPT
  • NEXT.JS
  • REST APIS
PROJECTS

Systems that had to work in the real world.

Open to embedded, hardware, and systems engineering roles — from ASIC and board design to NPI and manufacturing. Or just a good conversation about robots, chips, and what to build next.
